Sanskrit Name : Navasana


Other Common Names : Paripurna Navasana


About : This is one of the best yogasana for improving digestion. It brings internal organs to good work. It also Strengthens thighs and lower back. The name comes from the Sanskrit words nava meaning (boat) and asana (आसन) meaning (posture) or (seat). In its literal translation, (Boat Pose), the body could be imagined to resemble a boat, entirely balanced on the buttocks.

Steps for Boat Pose

Lie down on your back.

Slowly uplift your upper and lower body simultaneously and try to make a V - shaped pose.

Spread your arms straight.

Hold and repeat after rest.
